![]() Again, there is a lot going on that we don't want to spoil for those not in the know, but the season finale saw a huge turn of events for the Hank-Ashby-hooker triangle, and this was among the more realistic portrayals chose to display throughout the entirety of the second season. There was huge potential for this warped and drugged-up music producer to help take Hank to a new platform, but rather than letting Rennie do something with the character, the story was again confined by writing that preferred the cast to writhe in misery rather than rise above: Some people found the sex den, coked up stories as a comical commentary on LA life, but the majority of the time this was just wishful thinking for a show that was headed down a dark path and didn't know how return to something of substance (rather than substance abuse).
